Desire2Learn Partner Network FAQ's
What if I am both a Content Provider and an ISV? Do I have to join the program twice?
No. Partners only need to join the program once.
However, if there are ways you wish to work with Desire2Learn which may cross the borders of different partner types, you can simply submit Project Proposal forms for each of them. In some circumstances, resource constraints will require a serialization of projects.
We have released a new version of our software that is different from the version we had originally integrated with Desire2Learn. Can we do another integration project?
Yes. Simply submit a Project Proposal online and once approved the project can proceed.
Do I have to submit technical projects for each new Desire2Learn release?
That will depend on the level of the changes made in our new release, and more specifically the changes made to specific components of the Desire2Learn product suite that affect your solution.
Partners will be kept informed of impending changes to our software with as much notice as possible via Partner Connect! and the Desire2Learn Partner Community.
Why does Desire2Learn charge fees to join the Partner Network?
The Desire2Learn Partner Network fees operate under a cost recovery model to ensure that expenses undertaken between Desire2Learn and partner organizations are not passed directly to our clients.
Desire2Learn provides Select and Premier Partners a dedicated Partner Account Manager to ensure that you will always have a contact to work with, and all partners have the opportunity to work with our Partner Support Centre to answer all questions and concerns, making it as easy for you as possible to work with us.
Unlike many partner programs our fees are not hidden, and Partner Network partners are never expected to commit to sales quotas through a reseller agreement of Desire2Learn products.
The Desire2Learn Partner Network is an exclusive and select partner program that collaborates only with partners who are able to bring value to our mutual clients. By charging upfront fees we ensure that only those partners committed to supporting Desire2Learn customers join the Partner Network. This strict commitment to providing a quality program to select partners ensures that the value of the Partner Network resonates with our mutual clients.
What do partners get in return for their fees?
Desire2Learn is a customer focused company and looks to its partners to help support the needs of its clients. In return, Desire2Learn offers partners the opportunity to align with our solution and market position to realize greater opportunities. Does the Partner Network offer a reseller program?
Not at this time. Desire2Learn does not market through channels currently, but we are exploring the option of establishing partner sales channels in the future.
When will Desire2Learn have an SDK available for partners?
The SDK is a high priority project for us and is currently in development. There is no set date for delivery, but as development progresses partners will be kept informed via Partner Connect! and the Desire2Learn Partner Community.
